Cala Goloritzè
Cala Goloritzè, a Natural Monument since 1993, lies in the municipality of Baunei and is one of the most spectacular beaches on the Baunei Coast. Its transparent water, towering limestone pinnacle and natural rock arch make it one of the most sought-after destinations in Ogliastra.
How to reach Cala Goloritzè
Cala Goloritzè can be reached on foot from the Golgo Plateau (Su Porteddu) along a hiking trail of about 3.6 km, with roughly 513 metres of elevation difference. The descent takes around 1 hour 30 minutes, while the return climb generally takes longer. Returning by sea is only possible in specific organised itineraries that form part of guided excursions in the Supramonte area.
Cala Goloritzè booking options
Bookings for access to Cala Goloritzè are available during the regulated season. An early arrival, roughly between 07:30 and 10:00, is recommended. The entrance fee is €7 per person and includes use of the trail, parking and beach access. The trail closes for entry at 14:00, while visitors may remain on the beach until 16:00.
How to book Cala Goloritzè in 2026
Access to the beach is limited to 250 people per day. To secure a place, booking is required through the Heart of Sardinia app, generally from 72 hours before your visit until shortly before the trail opens. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

Reaching Cala Goloritzè by sea
If you would like to see Cala Goloritzè from the sea, there are several options. One of the most popular is a small-boat or RIB tour with a swimming stop nearby, or you can rent a RIB from Arbatax or Santa Maria Navarrese. Boats must respect the local access and anchoring rules around the protected beach.
