Spiaggia dei Milanesi

Musculedda beach, also known to some as Spiaggia dei milanesi ('the Milanese Beach'), is one of the must-see beaches in Ogliastra. It earned its nickname because a family from Milan built the first villa adjacent to the beach, with direct access to the shore. The area is always sunny and also features smooth, sea-sculpted rocks, perfect for sunbathing if you prefer an alternative to the sand. The beach is framed by the deep green hues of typical Sardinian vegetation.

How to get to Spiaggia dei Milanesi

It is located just 4 kilometres from Tortolì, but reaching it on foot is not very straightforward. The journey involves following a path through the Sardinian maquis, crossing some rocks and navigating areas that are not entirely easy to walk. For this reason, it is a location less frequented by tourists; those who reach it usually do so by sea.

Beach Features

The sand here is very fine and the scenery is breathtaking. The crystal-clear sea displays different shades every day, and the seabed is very shallow. In fact, you can safely walk out for about 300 metres from the shore, an ideal condition for those with small children or for non-swimmers.
