Osalla di Orosei
Osalla di Orosei is a long stretch of sandy coastline south of the town, close to the mouth of the Cedrino River. Its pine forest, open sea and relatively undeveloped setting make it a quieter alternative to the better-known beaches in the area.
The long beach
The beach extends for a considerable distance, making it possible to find quieter spots away from the main access points. The landscape feels open and less fragmented than the small coves around Cala Liberotto.
Pine forest and the Cedrino river mouth
The vegetation and proximity to the river add natural interest to the area. Conditions around the river mouth can change during the year.
Open sea
Osalla is exposed to the open sea and can experience waves and currents. Always check sea conditions before swimming.
Orosei
The beach is close to Orosei and can easily be combined with a visit to the town without turning the day into a long drive.
Towards Dorgali
Further south are other beaches and coves in the Dorgali area. The Trip Planner should distinguish Osalla di Orosei from Cala Osalla in Dorgali to avoid confusion between places with similar names.
