Hamlet of Orosei

Cala Liberotto

Cala Liberotto is a coastal resort in the municipality of Orosei, made up of small sandy bays separated by granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation. Pine woods, shallow water along several stretches and proximity to Biderosa and Cala Ginepro make it a popular base for holidays on Sardinia's central-eastern coast.

The small bays

Cala Liberotto is not one continuous beach: small sandy coves alternate with rocks and low headlands. This creates different settings within a short distance and lets visitors choose according to wind conditions and crowds.

Pine woods and Mediterranean vegetation

Pines, junipers and Mediterranean scrub line several parts of the coast. These green areas enhance the landscape and provide shade, but visitors should protect them by using existing paths and access points.

Cala Ginepro and Biderosa

To the north are Cala Ginepro and the Biderosa oasis, two of the most important natural attractions in the Orosei area. Access to Biderosa may be regulated, so arrangements should be checked in advance.

Orosei

Orosei's historic centre makes it possible to alternate beach days with churches, squares and traditional architecture. This combination is especially worthwhile during a stay of several days.

How to include Cala Liberotto in your trip

Cala Liberotto works better as a beach area or holiday base than as a quick photo stop. The Trip Planner should select one nearby beach and allow enough time to enjoy it properly.
