Cuglieri

Cuglieri stands on the western slopes of Montiferru and overlooks a territory that descends all the way to the sea. The large basilica above the village, historic lanes, olive groves and coastal areas of S'Archittu and Santa Caterina make the municipality particularly varied.

The village on Montiferru

The historic centre climbs the hillside through narrow lanes, stairways and traditional houses. From the upper parts of the village, views open towards Sardinia’s western coast.

Santa Maria della Neve

The basilica dominates Cuglieri from above and is the village’s main monumental landmark. Its panoramic setting makes the climb part of the experience.

Olive oil and rural landscape

The area has a long association with olive groves and agricultural production. The countryside between the village and the coast offers a landscape distinct from both the beaches and the higher woodland of Montiferru.

S'Archittu and Santa Caterina

The municipal coastline includes several well-known seaside locations. S'Archittu is already featured on the portal and makes it easy to combine the village with a stop by the sea.

In the Trip Planner

Cuglieri can be a main stop for villages and culture or a base for exploring Montiferru and the coast. It is particularly useful on an itinerary between Bosa and Oristano.
