S’Arena Scoada

S’Arena Scoada lies in the northern part of the Sinis Peninsula, just south of Putzu Idu. Fine sand, quartz fragments, limestone rocks and bright green-blue water create a landscape that differs from the longer sandy beaches nearby.

Sand, quartz and rock

The shoreline mixes golden sand and small quartz fragments with smooth rocks and sections of pale limestone.

The sea

The water can take on intense green and blue tones. The seabed is mainly sandy but changes around the rocky sections.

Wind

Capo Mannu is one of the most exposed areas in the Oristano region. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are common, while swimmers should always assess conditions carefully.

Putzu Idu

The two beaches are separated by a short rocky stretch and belong to the same coastal system. In the Trip Planner they can be treated as alternatives rather than compulsory consecutive stops.

Views across the Sinis

From the coast, views open towards Mal di Ventre and the cliffs of the promontory. S’Arena Scoada is especially well suited to itineraries focused on the sea and coastal scenery.
