La Marinedda

La Marinedda is one of the best-known beaches near Isola Rossa. The bay is framed by reddish granite and Mediterranean vegetation and alternates between calm-sea days and conditions appreciated by surfers.

The beach is only a few minutes from the village and has a well-defined sandy shoreline. Its location makes it easy to combine with Isola Rossa without spending the whole day travelling.

The red granite typical of this part of Gallura gives the bay a strong visual identity. The landscape is the main reason to choose La Marinedda over a more urbanised beach.

When conditions are right, the bay is also popular with surfers. Swimmers should always assess waves and currents before entering the water.
