Cala Corsara
Cala Corsara lies on the southern coast of Spargi Island, within La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. Small stretches of pale sand, granite rocks and turquoise water create one of the most famous landscapes in northern Sardinia.
A bay on Spargi
Cala Corsara is made up of several small sandy sections set between granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation. The irregular coastline creates different views within a very short distance.
How to get there
The beach is reached by sea. Excursions generally depart from La Maddalena, Palau and other locations in Gallura. Landing and access must follow the rules of the national park.
A protected area
Spargi belongs to La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. Vegetation, seabeds and beaches are fragile environments: littering, removing sand and other invasive behaviour are incompatible with protecting the area.
When to visit
Summer offers the greatest number of boat connections but also the highest visitor pressure. June and September are often better for experiencing the archipelago at a slower pace.
A day in the archipelago
Cala Corsara should be part of a full day dedicated to the archipelago rather than combined with too many mainland stops. In the Trip Planner it is a strong standalone destination.
