Vignola Mare

Vignola Mare is one of the main beaches in the municipality of Aglientu, along the northern coast of Gallura. A broad sandy shore, granite rocks and a coastal tower create an open landscape that is relatively easy to access.

The beach

The long beach offers areas close to services as well as quieter stretches. Sea and seabed conditions vary with the wind, which can be a significant factor along this exposed part of the coast.

Vignola Tower

A coastal tower stands on the headland overlooking the shoreline. The short walk towards it adds a historical and panoramic element to a day at the beach.

Granite and Mediterranean scrub

At either end of the beach, granite rocks break up the long sandy shoreline and introduce the characteristic landscape of Gallura.

The Aglientu coast

Vignola is a good base for exploring other beaches and coves in the municipality of Aglientu, including Naracu Nieddu and Lu Litarroni.

A stop on a northern Sardinia road trip

Its position between Santa Teresa Gallura and Costa Paradiso makes Vignola Mare a natural stop on a gradual itinerary along Sardinia’s northern coast.
