Mugoni
Mugoni is a long sandy beach inside Porto Conte Bay, in the municipality of Alghero. The sea is often more sheltered than along the outer coast, while the pine forest and broad shoreline make it one of the most versatile beaches on the Riviera del Corallo.
A beach inside the bay
Mugoni faces the large natural gulf of Porto Conte. Its position often reduces exposure to waves compared with beaches that face directly onto the open sea.
Pine forest and space
A green belt behind the beach provides shade and makes the area comfortable for longer beach days. Several access points help spread visitors along the shoreline.
Families and swimming
The seabed is relatively regular in several sections, which makes Mugoni popular with families. Always assess the actual sea conditions on the day.
Porto Conte and Capo Caccia
Mugoni is strategically located for visiting Porto Conte, Capo Caccia and the Neptune’s Caves area. It works well as a beach stop after a nature or archaeological visit.
When to visit
Main access areas can be busy in high summer. June and September generally make it easier to enjoy the bay and pine forest at a slower pace.
