Cala Biriala

Cala Biriala lies in the municipality of Baunei, between Cala Sisine and Cala Mariolu. A natural rock arch near the cove is one of its most recognisable features. The shoreline is pale and the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation, junipers and limestone create a dramatic setting above clear green-blue water.

How to reach Cala Biriala

Cala Biriala can be reached on foot only via demanding hiking routes suited to experienced hikers with proper preparation. For most visitors, reaching the cove by sea on an organised excursion or suitable boat is the more straightforward option. Always check local access rules and sea conditions.

The Cala Biriala rock arch

The natural rock arch near Cala Biriala acts almost like a gateway to the cove and is one of the most photographed features of this part of the Baunei Coast. Pale stones, junipers growing from the limestone and transparent water complete the distinctive landscape.
