Town

Stintino

Stintino lies at the north-western tip of Sardinia, facing Asinara. The seaside village is best known for La Pelosa, but it also preserves a strong identity shaped by fishing and the historic tuna industry.

The village of Stintino

The centre retains the atmosphere of a small maritime town, with little harbours, restaurants and compact streets. Local history is closely linked to fishing and tuna fisheries, explored in a museum dedicated to an activity that shaped the community for generations.

La Pelosa and the sea

La Pelosa is Stintino's iconic beach. Shallow water, pale sand and extraordinary transparency create one of Sardinia's most famous coastal landscapes. Isola Piana and Asinara rise offshore, while the Aragonese tower completes the instantly recognisable view.

Towards Asinara

Stintino is also one of the main departure points for Asinara National Park. A stay here can therefore combine beaches, nature excursions, history and seafood while exploring one of the most distinctive corners of northern Sardinia.
