Hamlet of Siniscola
Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia is a small seaside village in the municipality of Siniscola, recognised by its coastal tower and seafront overlooking a shoreline of rocks and small beaches. Its relaxed atmosphere makes it a pleasant stop between La Caletta and Capo Comino.
The village
Low houses, a seafront promenade and small spaces by the water give Santa Lucia a different character from larger tourist resorts. A visit is short but works well as a break during a day exploring the coast.
The coastal tower
The Spanish watchtower dominates one of the village's most recognisable viewpoints. It once formed part of Sardinia's coastal defence and lookout system and is now the symbol of Santa Lucia.
Pine woods and walks
Coastal vegetation and nearby pine woods provide shaded walks and places to pause away from the beach during the hottest hours of the day.
Capo Comino
Continuing south leads to the lighthouse and large dunes of Capo Comino. Santa Lucia works well as an intermediate stop without making the itinerary too busy.
La Caletta and Siniscola
La Caletta is only a few kilometres away and offers more services, while Siniscola connects the coast with Monte Albo. In the Trip Planner, Santa Lucia should be recommended mainly to travellers looking for a quiet seaside village.
