Which port to choose
For southern Sardinia and Cagliari, choose the port of Cagliari; for Gallura, the Costa Smeralda and San Teodoro, Olbia or Golfo Aranci; for Stintino, Asinara and the north-west, Porto Torres. If you are heading to Ogliastra, with the coves of Baunei and the Red Rocks, the closest port is Arbatax. For overland options, also read how to get to Ogliastra.
