Sa Mesa Longa

Sa Mesa Longa is a beach in the Capo Mannu area, within the municipality of San Vero Milis. A long natural sandstone barrier runs parallel to the shore and protects part of the beach from waves, creating a highly recognisable landscape.

The “long table”

The name refers to the flat rocky barrier that emerges a short distance offshore. This formation reduces wave action in some sections of the beach.

Sand, shells and rock

Sand, small pebbles, shells and darker rocks create a varied shoreline. The sea changes colour noticeably with light and wind conditions.

Capo Mannu

Cliffs and the Capo Mannu headland frame the landscape to the south. This is one of the most interesting parts of the Sinis for photography, wind sports and open-sea scenery.

Putzu Idu and Su Pallosu

Sa Mesa Longa lies among several nearby coastal spots. For a better itinerary, choose one or two and allow enough time at each rather than trying to stop everywhere.

When to visit

Summer is the busiest period, while spring and early autumn allow you to experience the coastline at a quieter pace.
