Li Lolghi Giants’ Tomb
Li Lolghi Giants’ Tomb is one of Gallura’s most impressive prehistoric funerary monuments. Its large central stele and exedra dominate a rural landscape only a short distance from Arzachena’s other major archaeological sites.
The funerary monument
The structure belongs to the Sardinian Giants’ Tomb tradition and was used for collective burials. Li Lolghi is immediately recognisable thanks to the scale of its central stele.
Stele and exedra
The façade is defined by a large upright stone slab, flanked by a series of stones arranged to form a broad semicircular ceremonial space.
A site with a long history
The monument shows different construction phases and reflects the long continuity of human use in this part of Gallura during prehistory.
Archaeological Arzachena
Li Lolghi combines naturally with Li Muri, La Prisgiona and Coddu Vecchju. The short distances make it easy to visit two archaeological sites in the same day without turning the itinerary into a rush.
How to visit
The site is outdoors. Bring water and sun protection, and check opening hours and ticket information before you go, especially during summer.
